Dr. Chendhil Periasamy currently serves as the Vice President of Air Liquide Hydrogen Energy & Mobility, North America. In this role, Chendhil is collaborating across various internal teams, customers and partners and supporting energy transition growth projects that reduce carbon emissions and advance the development and deployment of the renewable, low-carbon hydrogen economy. Specifically, Chendhil is responsible for developing strategies and systems for carbon management aiming to optimize and provide maximum value to customers. Chendhil’s duties also include the development of the frameworks necessary for enabling the next generation markets such as maritime, trains, aviation, mining, etc. Prior to this, Chendhil held the role of Vice President, Energy Transition for the Americas where he was responsible for leading implementation of the Air Liquide Americas hub energy transition roadmap and strategy to achieve Air Liquide Group’s ambitions. Previously, Chendhil was also a researcher and R&D Group Manager at Air Liquide Innovation Campus in Delaware where he established R&D demonstration projects and strategic partnerships in the areas of hydrogen, carbon capture and combustion technologies. Chendhil has been with Air Liquide for 17 years and holds a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
