
Rob Krumm

Rob received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2014 working on pyrolysis and catalysis projects. Rob’s career began in Oil & Gas working in R&D for ConocoPhillips and Baker Hughes advancing carbon capture and hydrogen production technologies. In 2022, Rob joined POWER Engineers’ new chemicals group focusing on green technology development and decarbonization. In 2024, WSP acquired POWER Engineers and Rob continues there working as a chemical engineering discipline lead. Rob has worked on four different hydrogen production projects for POWER/WSP using gasification and alkaline electrolysis with scales ranging in scale from vehicle fueling to industrial scale. Rob’s responsibilities include process design and NFPA 2 compliance. Rob is the inventor on five patents and the author of more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications. He is an active contributor to the professional community through AIChE and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Rob is a licensed professional engineer in Texas and Idaho.
