Goran Majkic

Research Professor, University of Houston
Goran Majkic received his BSc from University of Belgrade and MS and PhD from University of Houston. He is currently a Research Professor at University of Houston. His research is currently focused on various aspects of High Temperature Superconductors (HTS) including Advanced MOCVD HTS deposition, flux pinning, mechanisms of growth of artificial pinning centers, electromechanical properties of superconductors, rf behavior of superconductors, superconductor characterization, thermal stability and quench phenomena in superconducting wire and coils. He has also been active in solid oxide fuel cell research including stress-induced diffusion and ambipolar diffusion phenomena, defect chemistry of oxides, defect clustering and order-disorder transitions. He has published over 100 papers and has five patents in the HTS field, while his development of A-MOCVD has resulted in multiple world records in HTS performance in applied magnetic field.
