Elizabeth Trillo
Principal Engineer,
Southwest Research Institute
Dr. Elizabeth Trillo is a Principal Engineer in the Materials Engineering Department at Southwest Research Institute. She is a project manager that oversees research programs that relate to a materials’ susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement (HE), stress corrosion cracking (SCC), and general and localized corrosion. Dr. Trillo has a strong background in high temperature and high pressure testing in extreme environments as well as ambient pressure and temperature testing. She has worked on several joint industry programs including the Hydrogen Induced Stress Cracking behavior of Precipitation Hardened Nickel Alloys, that included multiple oil and gas companies, equipment and material manufacturers, and two international labs. She has also been active in creating and updating HE and SCC standards and technical reports through NACE, API, and ASTM.
