Abby Spring-Mann is a Senior Banker and Managing Director with over 20 years of Energy and Banking experience, initially as an engineer then in finance. During her career she has advised and or/ financed power and energy projects in US and Latin America and in sectors ranging from green-field renewable energy including solar, wind and BESS projects to LNG, oil and gas developments and various Carbon Capture, Storage and various Decarbonization initiatives. As a Senior Banker and Relationship Manager, Abby is responsible for the relationship management of a portfolio of US energy clients and for cross selling investment banking products with a specific emphasis on financing decarbonization strategies, including carbon capture and sequestration, hydrogen, biofuels, and energy storage.
Prior to SG, Abby was a Vice President for Macquarie Bank in the Energy Markets Group. At Macquarie she structured energy finance transactions including term loans, hedging and various facilities in the continental USA, Canada and Columbia. Abby worked as a Senior Reservoir Engineer for EOG Resources in their corporate reserves group where she managed the reserve portfolio for unconventional plays in the Continental USA, Canada and offshore Trinidad. Abby has also held leadership positions in BHP Billiton USA and Australia and has performed several reservoir engineering functions at Total Fina Elf and Schlumberger. Abby graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Petroleum Engineering and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
