Enabling Project Economics With the Use of Carbon Capture
This presentation will focus on the emerging eFuels sector that utilizes captured CO2, unpacking the economics and highlighting the best regions for development. Using Orennia's proprietary data we will provide an update on CCS projects across the US and Canada, the progress being made and key hurdles still to overcome, identifying the facilities and regions that are best positioned to participate in announced CCS hub projects or that will need to look at developing carbon capture on their own. We will also address the impact of utilizing carbon capture on facilities that produce biogenic CO2, such as ethanol and RNG facilities, and unlocking new revenue streams as well as the economics of utilizing biogenic CO2 within eFuel production. Lastly, this presentation will cover locations in the US that are best suited to produce eFuels due to their combination of access to biogenic CO2, cheap renewable power, and grid withdrawal capacity sufficient to support the scale up of new projects.
